The box states: “hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks.”
Does this mean they’ve not tested it beyond 48 weeks in trials, or does it mean it stops having an effect after 48 weeks. If it stops having an effect after 48 weeks, is that a permanent tolerance that the body has built up to it or will it work again after a period of non-use? If it’s a permanent tolerance then Minoxidil is only delaying the inevitable by a year which makes it seem almost pointless to me.

I’m a 20yr old male in college and I seem to be thinning on my hair. Well maybe not thinning but every time I scratch my hair or just brush it 4-8 strands of hair would fall off. I also have it in my dad’s genes as it was passed down from my grandfather. Is there a proven shampoo that can slow or reduce hair loss as much as possible, make my hair more thick, and really works? I’ve noticed this just recent years but any further in past not really cause I was still young in my teens. I use to use head and shoulders but currently changed to Dove for no reason. I don’t have serious dandruff, only have very little and heard that if you use too much head and shoulder you can get more dandruff if you don’t have much to begin with. Anyway any advice would be great, thanks. Please let me know where to get the product that is being recommended also thanks.

I just turned 17 ten days ago and i noticed my hair line is thinning. My hair is thinning in the two corners of my hair line. My father went bald really early. I looked at his hair and I don’t believe we have Alopecia or anything like that. like, his hair line recedes and makes that “M” shape.

Hi! I am a South Asian woman (living in Houston, TX) in her late 20’s suffering from dispersed hair loss over the frontal & crown area. Over the years, it has become more- well, let’s just say I can see my scalp. I have a widow’s peak & I used to love to part my hair down the middle or side, now I can’t do either. It has to be puffed up & clipped back to hide the- sniff, balding. Anyways, I have so many weddings & events coming up in December & I will be flying back to Pakistan to attend them. I don’t want to be bald. I don’t want to worry about how I will hide it or style my hair. So, I am considering medium extensions on just the top area- have plenty of hair in the back & sides of my head. But what sort should I get? Is this a good idea? I have thin hair & the falling has slowed down quite a bit. I leave in the 2nd week of Dec, so when should I get it done- right before or a week earlier (I’ll be gone f 2-3 wks)? Other ideas/options/advice? Anything more permanent? Thank you.
The hair loss is mainly on top… so will clip on extensions work (anod not fall out- gulp)? Will people be able to tell?
Are the “non” clip on ones that bad? I only want them in for 2 months or so…

I’m the youngest in my family and i saw hair starting to fall out in the corners of my hair line at the age of 16, i’m now 17 and it’s starting to get noticeable. since i am the youngest in my family i have been able to see my brothers all grow up and eventually lose their hair. i really really like my hair and would look way goofy shaving it and being bald. i researched this stuff called provillus which looks pretty legit and has a high success rate, has anyone who has hereditary hair loss used this and had success?
