Yeah, the “long all around” look is terrible. I’ve dated a few guys who’s hair was starting to go, and the conclusion I came to is that the only thing that is dignified/cool is to shave it.
My “hairline” is receding and there’s a bald spot in the middle?

I am 28 years old man. I have been loosing hair for the past 3 years and have been trying various things in the market such as Provillus, Rogaine and etc with little help. I have heard from my aunt to apply aloe vera to hair and it can regrow the hair back or at least stop the hair loss. I bought an aloe vera leaf from an organic store and was planning to crush and apply it every night and wash it off in the morning.
I would like to know if addition of oils such as jojoba, rosemary, tea tree or etc to the aloe vera gel help in combating hair loss? If yes then how much of it should I mix with the aloe vera? Please advice.
P.S :- I have very thin hair with visible bald spots and my hair is oily.

Yes your aunt was correct, aloe vera is perfect for regrowing hair and thickening thin hair. You can easily use aloe vera to stop baldness by rubbing the pulp of the plant against your scalp where your hair is thinning.
And you definitely should apply essential oils like rosemary, jojoba, lavender and henna to your scalp. You don’t need much, perhaps just about three drops of each will work just fine. Massage these evenly over your scalp about three times per week.
I am a 24 year old male.
No one in my family lost their hair. NO ONE! I have uncles in their 70’s with full heads of hair. Its white, but still there. Dad, brothers, and uncles all have their hair. And I mean all of it. Same goes for cousins. The women have their hair also. About 3 months ago I lost the corner of my hair line. Not the temple, but the corner. Its right where the hairline meets the temple. It just came out over a period of about 2 weeks. There is a gap there about the width of my thumbnail. It goes straight back about 1/2 an inch. Now the same has happened on the other side only its a bit bigger. Now I’m noticing thinness on the top of my head. The stylist thought I was a bit paranoid, but when my hair is wet I can see plenty of scalp in pictures I’ve taken of my crown. Pictures show hair growing out of the scalp but it clumps together to look like a gap. Its wet when I do this so maybe I am just paranoid. The hair loss at the corners of my hairline is real though. She noticed it too. About 3-4 months prior to the hair loss I underwent serious stress. Landlords tried to evict me (it got nasty and I had to get a lawyer). I bombed a very important standardized test (So important the results have completely altered my life plans) and a relative died. All of this occurred over a 3 week period of time. When I’m stressed I put my hand in my hair and pull at the hair line. Not really hard but I’ll rest my head on my hand and forcefully pull my hand through my hair a couple times. On occasion I’ll pull at my crown. I figured my genes would protect me from doing any damage plus it wasn’t so hard that it hurt. Could the stress itself, the fussing with my hair, and a bad college diet mimic a receding hairline. I’m going to a dermatologist but I fear the worst (Male Pattern Baldness).
I read about a maturing hairline on baldingblog.com , but I don’t know. No one in my family has that. I’m freaking out right now. I don’t want to lose my hair. Have I just got some mutant gene? I always had incredibly thick hair. I mentioned that I had a bad diet. I would sometimes eat only once a day. About 3-4 days a week. Usually pizza or something. Other days I would have an apple and some salami for lunch and maybe a steak or chicken fingers for dinner. No sides with dinner though. Would continuing this diet for two semesters be this harmful? I barely ate at all Freshman year (just graduated this semester) and nothing bad happened. I don’t have an eating disorder just a budget disorder. Oh. I also take copious antacids. I have ulcers. I read they can reduce your body’s ability to absorb nutrients.
My doctor is very busy and I have to wait almost a month. Is there anything I should bring up to her in particular? Any advice on what I just wrote would be very very helpful. No provillus pitches please. I get it. It’s a helpful in treating hair loss. Now that you know I know you don’t have to tell me again.

I have curly hair not to curly but cork screw curly once it gets a bout 2 1/2 or 3 inches. My hair for some reason grows slower on the center of my head and the alittle towards the back. The sides grow way faster the the top. My hair line has not been receading and I am not losing hair when I take a shower just alittle once or twice a week. I don’t have hair on my pillow or anything and my hair does seem strong. I don’t know if it is an optical illusion or any thing but my hair does seem to be getting thin from the center and and back. I don’t have relatives or any one in my family with male pattern baldness. If I am going through male pattern baldness what can I do to prevent it or a product I can use to slow it down or stop it. By the way I am a healthy 22 year old male and very worried about losing my hair plus I had multiple dreams of losing my hair but I am the type to worry about things like that. Some one any one please help me!!!

Topical application of Rogaine on the scalp helps a lot of men, worth a try.
As a prescription you can try Propecia – does not work for all men, but for a fair percentage.
However, once you lost hair it is preety much gone and won’t come back, so you might want to start as early as possible to preserve what you have.
If my mother’s father was bald, will I be bald? Nobody else in the whole family tree is bald except him.

It was thought that “male pattern baldness” was a trait inherited from the mother only but that has been shown to be in error in the last 8 years.
If you have the gene, there is little that you can do until gene therapy is advanced enough to solve the problem.

You get the hair stuff from your mother’s side. Just look at your mom’s dad or brother to know if you might bald early!

Well, you can find on google good references for hair surgeries.
In fact, there are many sites that focus on surgeries. I know only the two main ones… I think the most reliable ones are www.surgery.com and www.WebMD.com (both have their content reviewed by doctors)
