My 14 year old Corgi mix over the past week has been having excessive hair loss.

She is essentially healthy, vet gave her a clean bill. We feed a high quality food, but yet she still has horrible hair loss.

She is shedding clumps of hair all over, I gave her a bath yesterday, and have been brushing everyday….anything else I can do? How about causes of hair loss?
We were at the vet last week, no health problems, no reason for the hair loss. I suspected fleas, but have found none on her, but gave her a flea bath just in case. Allergy to the flea shampoo?

I feed Innova Evo, so it is pretty high in it’s protein content. And she has been on it for awhile so I don’t suspect the food.

A greasy scalp causes hair loss, but there are many baldness remedies using emu oil. Can someone clarify??

the greasy scalp issue ive heard mostly from scientific research and medical studies; the emu oil ive only seen advertised by holistic remedy web sites, which can be either the world’s best kept secret or the world’s biggest scam. i know oil acts as a great conditioner for the hair strands, but i don’t know how it affects the hair roots and growth/loss over all. i personally have greasy hair but no hair loss; i have a male friend who’s losing his hair and is using weird oil remedies, so i am just wondering if he’s only doing himself more harm than good.

I was wondering what cause body hair loss. I have a 3 month old, breastfeeding, prenatal vitamins. I took a shower yesterday and noticed that almost all my body hair is gone. About half of the hair on my legs is gone too. This has never happened before, and I am really really curious. I don’t know if pregnancy has anything to do with it, but just putting it out there. Anyone knows what causes hair loss??? “21″ Female?

After I gave birth to my last child, which she is now 4 months old. I notice that I was losing some hair- more than usual. I didn’t pay any mind because I convinced myself that I was only losing hair because I didn’t wash it as often, I maybe washed it like 1x a week or 1x every two weeks, and that’s because I hardly went out & stuff & my hair- most of the time was clean. Now it’s been 2 months that I started a simple diet, eating more vegetables-instead of frying I’ll eat something that’s cooked, steam, or baked- you know nothing too greasy, I drink more water than before, I never use to drink water- maybe like 3x a week, it was mostly o.juice I drunk. I’m not taking any medications, except, that I took birth control pills for 2 months- but the hair problem started before that. I feel sleepy-real tired to the point that I can fall asleep in the public- which is something I never do. I’m not pregnant-& I’m positive about it. I’m actually starting to notice that my hair line is pushed
back a little, and on the sides next to my bangs, looks real light- like you can clearly see my scalp, It’s really starting to freak me out, to the point that I’m thinking something is happening to my body. When I brush my hair in the shower when I wash it, clumps of hair comes off, I hardly put stuff in my hair like gel, hairspray eyc, just a small amount of gel, nothing else. When I comb my hair, and I grab it or touch it, strings of hair just come off like nothing. I’m not stressing, what can it be???? Please help! Should I call my doctor? What can I do to prevent hair loss? I’m only 21 & its really freaking me out. That itself it’s making me stress. Can it be a serious condition? Thank you in advanced.
