I cant speak from experience or I don’t know of anyone personally but I did find this site on the web, and you could always call them and ask for the doctor’s “stats” or references that he has in his line of work. And maybe the consultation is free and you might get a good or bad vibe from that visit. I would ask tons of questions ….after all you are paying for this …..it isnt free…
I wish you luck ~~
Merry Christmas ~

Im a woman and 19 yrs old and I am losing my hair like crazy, i barely have any anymore. I’d like to know what doctor i need to go to for the treatment of my hair loss. I was thinking of going to a dermatologist, but what if the problem is not on my scalp? will a dermatologist also perform blood tests to rule out the chances of anemia or other physical reasons for my hair loss?….or will they only examine my scalp?
what kind of doctor will perform tests on me to rule out all the possible causes ( blood test and scalp) will a regular general physcian do this or a dermatologist?
will appreciate knowledgeable answers
thank you
my hair loss is not only in certain spots (im not getting bald spots) it’s thinning and falling off from everywhere
i had this problem before i got pregnant but while pregnancy my hair stopped falling so much. the hair loss returned a few months after childbirth (about 3 months ago) and is now worst than ever

Is it better of worse than Rogaine? What have been your experiences? Have you used it in conjunction with rogaine?
I tried asking her for the generic prescription for Proscar (finasteride), but she refused saying it would be insurance fraud. Maybe I’ll have more luck with another dermatologist.
Also, about how much does Propecia cost? Is it cheaper to just use Rogaine?

My hair has been gradually thining for the past 5 years now and is getting really bad. After a skin biopsy test last year my doctor finall confirmed to me today that there is nothing majorly wrong and that its a really common condition (hair loss).
So now instead of refering me to another specialists he has giving me a scalp lotion to try.
…Sounds good but when i read what it was for, it seems as though its not for people suffering hair loss but far worse skin scalp conditions like, eczema, dermatitis (itching), psoriasis of the scalp…all of which i don’t have!
its also used for seborrhoea capitis (a condition causing redness and inflamation of the scalp and crusty patches of the scalp.
It all seems rather scary to me as all the above symptons are not related to me! also the side effects are bad too!!!
Please help!!! should I listen to my doctor and use it???
