As I was sitting with friends yesterday, we were discussing the above technique and was wondering if the above procedure is just for people who are going/have gone bald or can regular people also use this surgery to make hair more thick?
I have regular growth but would love my hair to be twice the size.
Is this possible?
Answer by twocoolafos
Hey, good question.
I think it can be done but professionals don’t like doing it because the amount of hair on your head naturally is how much your scalp can handle. You can ask though.
Before doing something as permanent as transplants, try curling or extensions/weaves, or mousses (thickeners).

I have a perm and i was wondering that if you have a perm can you still use hair vitamins?
Answer by RoseBud
Of course. The vitamins work on the inside of your hair follicle. The perm is on the outside of the hair shaft.

I had damaged hair so I cut it very very VERY short. Will Rogaine for women work to help me grow it back? I know it is for hair loss, but will it also work for me?

I have had a varicocele for a long time, probably since I was 12 or 13. At the time the doctor said it didn’t matter, but in the future if it was causing problems with fertility, it could be operated on. Very recently, I found out that varicoceles can cause progressive damage to the testicle, as well as low testosterone, resulting in a state of estrogen dominance. This is kind of a new school of thought, and there are still a lot of doctors who deny this possibility. I am 24 now, and have been experiencing hair loss, which is uncharacteristic for someone in my family, there is no hair loss on either side. So I am attributing it to my varicocele, along with my other symptoms of estrogen dominance. I am very curious to know how many other people suffering from hair loss, are also suffering from a varicocele. It is a very common condition, even more common than premature hair loss, which makes me wonder if it is a primary cause of hair loss in young men.

My endocrinologist put me on Metformin (extended release) for the treatment of insulin resistance. 500mg daily 1st week, 1000mg daily 2nd week, 1500mg 3rd week.
EXACTLY 2 weeks after starting it, I noticed my hair seemed to be falling out at a more rapid pace than usual. I counted the hairs and I get anywhere from 150-250 in a single day. They are full hairs, often with a root attached. I don’t count breakage.
My doc pulled me off the med for an unrelated reason, but the hair loss continues. I’ve been off the medication for about 2 weeks now. I had no issue with hair loss prior to this, so I’m not really buying the logic that it’s merely a coincidence.
I’m a little freaked out by all this. Why is this happening? What can I do?
(Note: I am 25, very active, and eat a healthy diet. I don’t think there are any nutritional deficits either.)

My family doctor said topamax can give hair thinning and hair loss in some people, has anybody had this side effect? Its a medication that seriously works for my head pain, but the side effects are terrible.

So for the past few months or so I have been having a lot of changes. At first I just thought that it had to do with my body readjusting itself since I recently had a baby (5 months ago). So little things I have been noticing is anxiety (nervousness), mild depression (my hubby goes away 4 days a week and we live in a basement apartment with one window. I thought these were little things that were contributing to the depression feeling), recently started feeling insomniac. I haven’t been able to get to bed until anywhere between 12am and 2am for the past few months (my son sleeps anywhere from 8pm-10pm until around 7am to 9am), lots of hair loss in the shower and throughout the day (not bald spots or anything but definitely losing a lot more hair than EVER before), tiredness, and constipation (although lately I have been having terrible knotting in my stomach and having what seems to be like diarrhea sorry TMI). The past 2 weeks I have noticed this lump underneath my chin. When I put my head down it aggravates it…I can actually push my finger up under my chin and feel it, it is sore. I know that my thyroid is like the “adams apple” (although I am a woman lol) but the other day I decided to look up thyroid problems and I found that the symptoms of that are all of the ones that I am experiencing (except for the lump feeling…almost like a swollen gland that is very uncomfortable). Does this sound like a thyroid problem? Another thing I should add is that I am having the toughest time losing the baby weight. Although I do not eat well ALL the time, I have been exercising a lot and eating much healthier than usual. STILL no weight loss. This morning I started having this feeling of “growing pains” in my calves. I went to bed around 1am and woke up at 5:45am and haven’t been able to go back to sleep since…because of the feeling in my legs. It is like I cannot stretch them enough. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY BODY? I AM going to make an appointment with the doctor but I just wanted to hear of some personal experiences. I feel like I have no control of what is going on!

Pollen season can affect pets as badly as people
Think seasonal allergies are frustrating? Pets can have it much worse.

People turn to lasers and pulsed light treatment to rid themselves of unwanted hair
Swimsuit season will soon be here, and many women will check their underarms, legs and bikini line and wonder: Isn’t there an alternative to shaving or (ouch!) waxing? How can I get rid of this hair? And increasingly, men (some with the aid of their partners) are deciding that a hairy back is not an asset at the beach. Two possible solutions are laser hair reduction and intense pulsed light …

It’s not like sheep or cows are endangered or anything. They were made to be eaten, and are farmed to be eaten. Uggs are not made by skinning sheep alive, they kill the sheep humanely, use the hair, the skin, and eat the insides, and sometimes use the feet to to make products like jello and the like.
My question is, why do people become vegetarians? I’m not against them or anything, but in my society, people just become vegetarian to become “cool” or improve their reputation. I heard that vegetarians are slowly losing brain cells because they have vitamin deficits…
here’s a similar study for memory loss and vegetarians: http://forums.prevention.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7431019183/m/4881093405
but what I don’t understand is that if we have an overpopulation of sheep and cows and pigs anyway, and being vegetarian is actually hurting people, what’s the point??
if you like, you can answer these questions:
1. is eating a steak the same as carrying a leather handbag?
2. do you believe that you’re helping the world by becoming a vegan/vegetarian?
3. if being vegan or vegetarian was illegal, would you still eat meat?
4. do you believe that God put animals on the earth for us to eat?
i wasn’t being judgmental, i was just asking why. and FYI to the last answer, i believe that animals should be killed humanely if they’re going to be killed. my family and many other families do not eat McDonalds. did you know that the dominican republic outlawed McDonalds?
