Answer by S R
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair.Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.com/ for more details.

You know, like the whole biotin, silica, MSM, etc with multi vitamin.
If I’m under stress, since stress stops hair growth, is there any point of taking these vitamins.?
I’m also taking Dong Quai vitamins along with it, which I heard was a stress blocker.
But I don’t know if that’s enough – I’ve been REALLY stressed lately.

i’m thinking that would be along the lines of
sumthin like reading the bible in hell or
using cocaine in a rehab center
no offense whatsoever

I don’t want to take hair growth supplement, but i’d like to know what vitamins I can take to help my hair be healthier, and hopefully, grow a little quicker. I take pretty good care of it. I don’t hot-style very often and I take Hair skin & nails vitamins + vitamin c + a multivitamin ( lol )
Do you know what vitamins stimulate health of your hair ?
or Do you know of a growth supplement that actually works ?
thanks !
Answer by sarah k
biotin works best and its proven that you cant buy anything to make it grow faster.. but if you keep it healthy then it wont break off.

My cat’s hair is all over the place. I brush him regularly with a Furminator, however, it is almost the same, especially now. Wondering if this is seasonal. Are there any good vitamins I can give him for hair fall, what about food.
Answer by Shadow
If your cat is having a problem with hairballs, I would use laxatone.
Seasonal shedding usually happens during the warmer months. Indoor animals can shed all year long (mine certainly does) because their coats are not influenced by the weather as much. Also, animals tend to shed more when they are undergoing stress.

I’m taking vitamins for the hair on my head and someone told me that I shouldn’t while getting laser but I thought that since the laser deadens the hair follicle, it wouldn’t matter. Do vitamins continue to make the follicle stronger resulting in growing more hair in the areas I’m trying to get rid of it via laser treatments?
Answer by catinabag
not like drastically or dramatically. the hair folice is being lasered away. and usually it takes like 4 months or so for the hair to slightly grow back. so i bet it will only slightly speed up your hair growing back. but not alot

I have very wavy/curly hair and I can grow it out,it just takes a little longer to get visible results,I also want to start taking vitamins to make my hair, skin and nails look healthier,I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for those things.
Answer by B.Lieve
Well for one try using Mane N’ Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the time and it makes your hair grow faster. You can find it at walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should use cold or
luke warm water on your hair so it won’t damage it. Even hot water hurts your hair.
Btw if your looking for a cute hairstyle to try out these tutorials. they are awesome. ;D

Do the Wal-Mart women’s vitamins for hair skin and nails actually work? Has anyone tried them because if you compare the ingredients to the more expensive herbal beauty supplement online and in specialty store they are very similar. I am trying to grow my hair down past my waist but it never gets more than a couple ofinches past my bra strap…
Answer by Oneya
It is important to grow hair, but the reason why you may not be getting past a certain point is because you are not retaining length. Deep conditioning (every week) and protein treatment( once 4-6 weeks ) is crucial.
Are you using too much heat?
Are you wearing protective hair styles so that your hair doesn’t rub off your shirt and be vulnerable to the elements?
Are you eating healthy?
Ohh I don’t take hair, skin. and nail vitamins I take GNC mulitivitamins however I have heard the the GNC works well. Also make sure that your vitamins are made in the USA.

My dad and grandma keep insisting that it does. I disagree, AFAIK the hair outside of your scalp is dead, and therefore not using up vitamins. The hair generating inside of your scalp grows and uses vitamins regardless of length.
I can’t find anything about it online, figured I might as well be the first to ask it.
Answer by Gizmo
You are absolutely right. What your dad and grandma are telling you is an old wives’ tale. Pay no attention to them. They’re probably just trying to get you to cut your hair.

I bought prenatal vitamins to help improve my hair and i also bought some other pills called Shen Min hair nutrient. So do you guys think that I can take them at the same time or which ones should I take first? What has worked for you guys. They are both dietary supplements so will their be any adverse reaction if I take the two of them. They only contain one same ingredient which is Vitamin A. Thanks for our time and giving me advice.
Answer by mnvikes
id ask your doctor if youre trying to get pregnant with the hair pills. its probably ok if its just vitamins but dont take chances with the baby, ask a doc and get a reliable answer. that stuff isnt tested or regulated by the FDA at all

Answer by Built_to_Last
No, I’ve always heard from hairdressers that that’s a scam. But they definitely make it stronger and shinier : )

do they really help in growth of hair ? Can it make your hair thicker ? I used to have thicker hair during childhood and teen years , but at 23, i have mostly thin hair.
Answer by Maple
Hair thickness is mostly genetic, and what you have in your youth is not necessarily what you have as an adult, just by natural changes. I know of no vitamins that will make your hair thicker, but you might want to get a thyroid check, as changes in hair thickness can be a sign of deficiency of thyroid hormones, an easily treated disorder that has a lot of other symptoms, such as fatigue and sensitivity to cold.
Nothing you put on the hair shaft will actually make it thicker, but some conditioners make it look thicker — you might want to try one of those.

there are these vitamins called infinity haIR vitamins… how have they worked for you ..do they even work?? i just bought some onlinee.
Answer by Brownie
Any vitamin of that type works because it has all the ingredients you need to keep yourself healthy. I have tried that along with many other vitamins for hair skin and nails and they all work pretty much the same…It really helps to keep your skin looking good, helps grow your nails and hair too.
