I’m worried about my hair. It’s falling out. My hair is a bit layered and the longest is down to my waist now. Should I have it cut much shorter to promote hair growth? What’s the best hot oil formula can I use regularly at home? Is it good to apply warm virgin coconut oil on my scalp or olive oil
Answer by WeezaLou
eat all the nurtrients e.g. 5 fruit and veg a day lots of water to stop dehydration also stress can cause hair to fall out. relax and have lots of rest but definitly go to your doctors

I have thick wavy / kind of curly hair that tends to frizz. What’s a good shampoo / conditioner / hair product in general that will define curls, reduce poof, and manage frizz?
I don’t care how expensive, just as long as it works.
Nothing cheap, either. I went through so many of those shampoos that do nothing for my hair.
Answer by catlynn_cabral
Redken makes a great line for curly/wavy hair. It’s called Fresh Curls. Not too expensive either.
I had a perm once and I tried a bunch of stuff – even frizz ease. Redken worked the best.

i have long hair and i dye it quite often as well as use heat products such as straightener, blow dryer etc. When i when to go get my hair don the stylist told me to find a good conditioning treatment or something because I’m in the midst of going blonder and my hair is drying out.
what are some product you recommend?
Answer by Gabbriella Bella
I’ve found olive oil works well. Pour it on your roots and massage it through all of your hair. Leave it sit and soak up the moisture, then wash it out, and condition as usual. I hope this helps!

I read several times when people use any hair treatment (oil or cream), they usually say wrap the hair in a towel…is this necessary?? what does it do exactly coz I usually put the oil or cream and leave them on without wrapping my hair in a towel..what’s the point??
And should it be warm?? How can I get it warm??
Answer by ladylujo
Using a warm towel helps any product you are using to penetrate the shaft of your hair and work more deeply. You could warm your towel by putting it on a radiator or in a tumble drier, or you could use a heating hood.

I have several questions about it…
- Is there always going to be a scar, or just if the doctor isn’t very good?
- Sure it can replace hair loss, but does it stop you from losing the hair that gets transplanted?
- Does it prevent you from losing more hair (what you already have / haven’t lost yet)?
- How much does it cost?
- How many folicles should I have per square inch to have a “full” head of hair?
- What sort of doctor can “help” me with this?
Answer by Variable 46
There’s going to be a thin scar along the back of your scape, from around ear to ear. It will be well hidden by the remaining hair back there.
It replaces hair loss, and the hairs are transplanted from areas where hair rarely falls out, to places where it does. Once in it’s new location, the “new” hairs are likely to not fall out because they don’t have the genetic susceptibility for that like the hairs they are replacing.
If you are putting hairs into a thin area, the transplant itself will not prevent the loss of any of those original hairs. Transplant surgeons will suggest the use of Rogaine, Propecia and other hygienic and dietary habits to reduce hair loss.
For lowering your hairline and filling in the peak a bit, they usually suggest 1,500 to 2,500 micro-plugs. Probably over half of those have multiple hairs, 2 to 3 each. Costs range, but roughly .00 per plug transplanted is around the going rate.
I used to know how many follicles per square inch constitute a “full” head of hair. A transplant is not going to get you there, especially if you are working from a bald pate. But if you are partially bald, receding hairline, that sort of thing, it’s well worth looking into.
Shop around to find a surgeon you’re comfortable with. As I understand, there is no governing board for this particular surgical practice, and there are some quacks out there.
Most of them arrange appointments for actual visits to meet the doctor, and also the people who will be doing the actual work. In most cases the doctor removes the donor strip, and then assorted technicians harvest the hair from it. After that the doctor starts off with the initial transplants to establish a pattern, but then technicians come on board and finish the job. So be wary.
Finally, the initial transplanted hairs tend to fall out with a month or so.Everyone of your hairs is on a cycles…grows…dies…falls out…grows back. We don’t normally notice it because we have so many hair that losing 20 or 30 a week seems inconsequential. But your hair transplants tend to get shocked into the dieing and falling out state as a result of the transplant; thus you have a bunch of transplanted hair falling out. But after a period of 4 to 12 months, it grows back in; and if you’ve had a good operation and staff, you litterally cannot tell if it was transplanted or not.

The hair experts rave on about re-generating hair growth.
It is really all b-s.
When you go to see them, they make wigs for you.
Even though their ads claim otherwise.

Please help me I’m in such despret need of your help!!!
Answer by Cooper
ok… you may think I’m crazy but this is really a good trick get a couple of eggs and and mix them up like you are going to make scrambled eggs. take a little bit of conditioner and mix them together. when you take a shower don’t wash your hair it will only dry your hair out more. Use the conditioner and egg mix. the eggs are good for your hair and the protein will help strengthen your hair and return a beautiful shimmer of healthy hair. it may sound gross but it truly does work. I do this to my hair once a month. its a trick they used back in the 1920’s. Sorry to here about your hair but I hope this helps.

hi,
just wondered if anyoneone had any suggestions – my hair is kind of a darkish blonde colour – it is colour treated and quite dry so I need a good conditioning treatment.
Thanks
Answer by missjinnifaa
I’ve heard drenching your hair with mayonaise and a small amount of olive oil and leaving it there for about five to ten minutes then washing it out really conditions and softens you hair.

I have long hair that gets frizzy and staticy a lot!! I’ve tried Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine, Head and Shoulders, Vo5, and a lot of other ones. What’s a good shampoo and conditioner to reduce this frizzy problem?? I also tried using a hair flat iron without using any ingrediants before it.
Answer by Lisa
Try Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners, they work really well and you can go to the website to find the kind that works for you. Also, Sunsilk products, like the leave-in conditioners, will help tame frizz.

It’s like a shampoo? or a lotion that they apply and massage to the area.
Answer by Greg35
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.

What is niacin? Can it help your hair grow faster? and what about rogain, I thought that was for men. what ORGANIC SHAMPOOS do you suggest? What vitamins have you taken that helped your hair grow faster?
What about vitamin E and MSM? thanks for your answers

I take Biotin vitamins which are for strengthening hair therefore resulting in less breakage making hair grow longer. I also pair those with a daily multi-vitamin. I use Organix Olive Oil and Aloe shampoo which also has natural ingredients that help with hair growth.

I hate my curlyish-wavy hair. It’s poofy at the bottom but flat at the top! I straighten it, but it really damages my hair and causes split ends! I want to find the perfect shampoo that will keep my hair less poofy and more healthy! I already tired Herbal Essence and Pantene, but they all make my hair dry!
Answer by Nick
Pantene Pro-V, its different from other conventional Pantene.
