I was prescribed it today and I have not taken birth control in a very long time (I have been ignoring the fact that I have PCOS for years). I am overweight and have the usual symptoms (mild acne, hair loss, etc) and I am hoping that this will help me lose weight and feel better. I have been experiencing random and terrible abdominal pain lately and am going back for a ultrasound next week.
Thanks for any advice you can offer!

I am 26 years old and have significant hair loss… it’s hereditary! I mean I have hair but it is thinning… you can see my scalp in areas especially on the crown. Does anyone know of any products that really do stop the hair from falling out and maybe even regrow what has fallen out? Thanks!

I have PCOS. I was diagnosed 6 years ago. I have conceived 1 child 4 years ago. I have had 2 miscarriages this year one using clomid and glucophage. My testosterone levels are 114 almost twice the norm for a female. I have noticed a small spot of alopecia and diffused thinning of the hair shaft. My doctors are retards and men so they do not understand the affects of hair loss for a woman. I need to know how i can reduce my testosterone on my own and try to salvage my hair and my sanity. Also maybe try to have another baby.

I’m 40, have 3 kids (9, 6, 3) and have noticed over the last 3-5 years my hair falling out and beginning to thin on top. This is extremely distressing to me and I’m worried to death about it. My thyroid is in check and I have no health problems that cause hair loss, so I don’t know how to fix this problem. My ob said there’s really nothing anyone, male or female, can do about thinning hair. It’s just age, hormone, stress related. He said even Rogaine doesn’t work or else we wouldn’t still see bald men, much less women! Does anyone who has had this problem know any treatments that truly made a difference before I go spending tons of cash on a million products promising thicker hair. Mind you, I’m not bald or balding – I’ve just noticed a definite thinning on the crown of my head and have to carefully style my hair so that my scalp doesn’t show.

I have been going through menopause. I do not use Rogaine or any products like that. My hair has always been thin but in the last 6 months it has gotten super thin and it’s embarrassing to me. I feel like people are staring at the top of my head. I’m beginning to feel like I have male pattern baldness. Any ideas on how to get the hair to grow back & even be thicker??

Ive been suffering from alopecia for two years now. Ive gone to the doctor and still they have no clue why i keep losing hair. Two years ago it was really bad but since then i have been losing hair and still have some minor bald spots. The bald spots are not visible unless I comb my hair a certain way. I always have to keep the same hairstyle. Before I started losing hair, I had a lot of volume. Since I have a lot of volume, the hair I do have seems full but clearly its not. I really want to get rid of the bald spots and ive been using nioxin, taking vitamins, and occasionally use i think rogaine or something similar, but thats very rarely. If youve gone through this before, please help. I rlly want my hair back. thank you so much. Oh and Im 16, so alopecia isnt very common for people my age. I thought maybe it was due to stress because i get stressed very easily?

for almost two decades my aunt has been getting bald patches in her hair. Theyre not very big, but there are always about 2-3 at the same time, and it really bothers her. She says it happened ever since she moved to England (before she had nice, average long hair). Now she cant grow her hair longer than shoulder-length as its become very sparse and fine- and bcos of the patches. She blames the climate and partially stress, but both she and i are puzzled as to how this would have persisted for so long? my aunt is stressed a lot, but she is a happy a lot too. doctors couldnt help, and she tries to eat as healthily as she can. the patches have never disappeared completely at a time as far as i know. Can anybody name this condition, or recommend something that might work? any helpful comments would be appreciated, but please do not make fun or drop stupid comments. thank you
